EvolVh offer - Petit Vour website
Petit Vour have an offer online at the moment - $64 for this EvolVh Trio - this is my favourite haircare system. I religiously (and exclusively) use their shampoo and conditioner and my hair is in the best condition of my life. The ingredients are super, super clean and healthy (take a peek at the photo below) - I love that the main ingredient is water!! Everybody should know (by now) how important water is to the body ... both inside and out. And there are so many fruity ingredients in each item, too. Gorgeous π
The fantastic thing about purchasing from the Petit Vour website is, you get 20% back for every purchase (in points) & when your points add up, you can get money off vouchers for the rest of the website.
Treat your hair to this amazing product. I promise you, you will not be disappointed π
If you love EvolVh as much as me, or if you can recommend other cruelty-free, vegan and clean haircare products to me, pleaese let me know π xxx

New York, New York ... excitement Central
A very close friend and I have decided we are going to New York in September. I am beside myself with excitement. I'm so excited to be going Stateside for the first time in my life. I'm thrilled to be seeing a performer we both adore. I'm looking forward to seeing everything New York has to offer.
BUT, top of my list is, the VEGAN MAKEUP π€£π€£π€£ I can't wait to be able to access all the brands that I can't get my hands on over here, without having to pay ridiculous shipping charges.
Can anybody give me a heads up, please? I know of a few brands, but am always on the look out for cosmetics that are cruelty-free, vegan and, if possible, clean π
**updated May 2nd** we are actually going in December now..more time to lose weight, plan and save for the trip ♥ ♥ ♥

Petit Vour April Box
Another knockout Petit Vour Beauty Box, this time for April. 4 products arrived to my house Friday morning but I was away for the weekend so just saw them last night ... very happy with this box again π
I'm starting with my favourite from the box ... Nubian Heritage Body Lotion in Patchouli & Buriti (collection found here) . Seriously!! I received a soap in this scent a few months back & it is gorgeous. I keep it for 'special use' as I don't want to run out. I know I can purchase more but it's just so special and 'summery' π I really love it. It is a really refreshing scent that reminds me of summer. Well, we don't get much summer here in Ireland, so let me rephrase. It makes me think of tropical places where they do get summer π This was valued at $3
There's a little 7g (0.25oz) tube of Suntegrity 5-in-1 Natural Moisturizing Face Sunscreen. Since I got badly burnt last summer, on one of the 2 hot days we got in Galway, I developed a horrible itch on my chest bone. I've been on antihistamines since last July & I am on the lookout for Vegan Sun Products. If anybody can recommend some, please let me know π The only 'issue' with this is, it's tinted. I'm not sure how dark it is yet as I've yet to try it, but I don't want a colour on me when I just want to prevent myself getting burnt. There is a nice amount of product in this sample size & it's valued at $5
French Girl Organics Cuticle Oil π Oh my goodness - it probably costs way more to produce these but how beautiful is this little tiny bottle??? I just love that it's made from glass (I'm trying to avoid plastic where, at all, possible) & it's so teeny, even when your carry-on toiletries bag is jammed full at the airport, this little cutie would slide right in there!! It's a cuticle oil which, really, couldn't have come at a better time. I've bitten my nails since I was a child & they are in a dire state at the minute, so I'm hoping this little baby will work miracles π This has a value of $10
Last, but by no means least, is the MarieNatie Love Marie Lip Gloss. I got the shade 'Tickled' which is a lovely corally/ pinky shade. Just perfect for the coming season change πThis has a value of $19.
Altogether, the value of this box was $37 and it cost $15 - that is very good value to be introduced to new products or brands that you know are vegan, cruelty-free and (mostly) extremely clean
Let me know if you subscribe to Petit Vour & if so, what do you think of it π xx

EvolVh deserves it's own post
After using the EvolVh leave-in conditioner (religiously) for the past year, I already knew I was going to lurrve these products (that I received in the January Petit Vour Beauty Box ... last post)
I was proven correct!! π The difference in my hair is staggering. I have fairly normal hair, I don't do much (in fact, I don't do anything with it...) it gets washed a few times a week (not daily, I haven't the patience for that!!) and then it's either thrown up into a messy pony tail or left down to dry naturally. I don't even own a hairdryer π€£ I really should take better care of my hair and I will, once I get it chopped up. The words 'UltraShine' sound so boastful but they weren't lying. My hair is glistening like spun gold (slight exaggeration haha) but there is defo some shine on top of my shoulders now, for the right reasons.
I love that this company cares about the consumer and their health, not just lining their pockets with cash. Paraben Free products are sooo important to me. Any synthetic preservatives scare me so I try to avoid these ingredients when at all possible. The ingredients are 100% natural and non-toxic. It really is a treat to use these products ... they smell beautiful without being overwhelming and they are cruelty-free and vegan. Who says we need to go to the salon for a treat?! π
EvolVh is definitely the most luxurious haircare product I own and it is fabulous. There are many other products to try too, not just Shampoo and Conditioner. There are polishing balms, styling cremes and styling lotions (see here) so your whole headtime routine is taken care of π I want to rave about EvolVh all day long, but I have to get back to work.
Let me know if you have tried (and loved) EvolVh. If so, what is your favourite product? Have you recommended it to a friend? Have a great weekend everybody xx π

January Petit Vour Beauty Box
So, just before I left for school with small fry, the postman rang our doorbell. She pipes up 'I bet that's another vegan box for Mom' π€£ hahaha although, she was right π
The January Petit Vour Beauty Box arrived this morning and it did not disappoint. What I love about Petit Vour is that the products really are stuff I'll use ... Shampoo, Conditioner, Eye Cream & Hydrating Tonique stuff (not sure of the correct term here!!)
For those of you that don't know what or who Petit Vour is, it's a monthly subscription service that delivers 4 cruelty-free, Vegan and clean beauty products to your door each month. As mine is coming to Ireland, it costs $34.98 each month, but the majority of that is shipping. It's $15 a month but it works out cheaper if you buy 3. 6 or 12 month subscriptions. Each item is sample sized, but sometimes they're full sized. Every month, there is a lovely new card, designed exclusively for Petit Vour by Paula and Waffle
And what makes this an extra special company is, you can earn point for purchases and product reviews - 25 points for every product review & 20% back in points. I've earned $18.50 in points so might treat myself to a new eyeshadow palette from 100% Pure (featured in this box) ππ

January's Box: I don't really understand why, but there's some issue shipping nail polish from the US to Ireland (customs issue, I suppose) so each month there is a nail polish, the gorgeous people at Petit Vour give me a different sample and today, I received a full sized 100% Pure Coffee Bean Caffeine Eye Cream (retail value of $25). Absolutely love this brand ... it's gentle and smells amazing. I love that there are no nasties in these products and I will 100% be purchasing my skincare routine products from them when I run out of the ones I'm using now. I have lipgloss, moisturiser and another eye cream from 100% pure and they make the most amazing fruit dyed makeup too. Make up dyed with fruit!! Seriously, how Tarzan & Jane is that?! πΈππ΅π
EvolVh is one of my favourite brands ... my hair is vile at the minute (I feel like a horse, both in shape & now hair length) but there's a reason for this ... I'm letting my hair grow long enough to donate to a children's cancer charity so that they can make a wig from it. I'll post another post on this when it's happening (another few weeks, I'd say..) Anyway, so yes ... back to my love for EvolVh π I absolutely adore this brand!! I received a sample of the leave-in conditioner from a Vegan Subscription Box about a year and a half ago and I loved it sooo much that I have since bought two more bottles of the leave-in conditioner. The moisturising one, not the volumising one. My hair is so thick, I could do without the extra volume!! In this month's Box, there was a sample of the Ultrashine Moisture Shampoo & Conditioner - a total value of $17, which is more than the box already.
Blissoma is another gorgeous brand that I would never have known about if it wasn't for Vegan Subscription Boxes. It smells devine and I must say, it is hard working but very gentle on skin. I wouldn't call my skin especially sensitive, but it is known to react adversely to certain 'unclean' products. I'm never afraid to slather on anything that I receive from Petit Vour because I know there are no nasty chemicals in any of their products. Love them for that π This is a Tonique product (full size is $32 and I think this sample size is $4) Basically, you can spray this directly onto the skin after you've cleansed and moisturised. Or to set your makeup ... very cool π
Let me know if you subscribe to Petit Vour and if so, what you think of the January Beauty Box.

Introduction
When I first started contemplating transitioning to Veganism (having been Vegetarian since I was 14) I found that Vegan products were much easier to bring into my everyday life than Vegan food - long story, but I have weird food phobias!!
My make up bag contents had to be thrown out immediately because there wasn't *one* trustworthy company in there. As I got more involved in purchasing Vegan products, I realised how vile some of these companies actually were and I won't allow them inside my front door now.
I subscribed to the Vegan Cuts Beauty Box in May 2015 and, I swear to God, I've never looked back. It has changed my life ☺ For those of you not aware of what this is, it is a monthly subscription service. It costs $22.95 per month, but is cheaper if you subscribe for longer than on a rolling monthly basis. There are 4 - 7 Cruelty-Free and Vegan Beauty products included in every box. They're mostly sample or deluxe sample sized products, but sometimes there are full sized items included.

Since I subscribed, almost 2 years ago, I have subscribed to numerous other Vegan Beauty Boxes (Petit Vour and Teri Miyahira are the ones I've stuck with) and I have accumulated quite a substantial amount of Vegan products that I want to start using to acquire more 'favourite products'.
As I use these products, I'll post some information (prices, websites, ingredients, etc) and my thoughts on them. Maybe they might help somebody transition completely, when they see how great the products are - honestly, what's not to love about doing our bit for animal kind while using beauty products too π
These products were certified Vegan and Cruelty-Free when I received them from the Subscription Box. Some products are dating back to May 2015 but they haven't been opened so I'm hoping they'll be ok to use ... we shall see π
Since subscribing to the subscription boxes, I have received everything needed to transition to a cruelty-free and vegan lifestyle:
- Shampoo (both dry shampoo and normal shampoo)
- Conditioner (both normal conditioner and leave in conditioner)
- Shower Gels, Body Washes, Body Scrubs
- Toothpaste
- Deodorant
- Perfume (solid and liquid)
- Lip Gloss, Lipstick, Lip balm
- Eyeshadow, Eyeliner, Mascara
- Highlighter, Blusher, Bronzer
- Makeup Brushes
- Moisturisers, Cleansers, Toners
- Hair Masks, Facial Masks
The great thing about the subscription boxes is, if you like a product you are given, you can purchase the full size version on the relevant website and there are information cards with each Subscription box, so you will be shown how to use the product and all the information is on there too π
