Petit Vour November (!!) Beauty Box

It's January 22nd 2018 and I only just 'found' my November Petit Vour Beauty Box last week πŸ˜• it had obviously been mislaid, so thankfully I found it ... December review to follow this one (during the week..if I haven't mislaid that one, too)

The November Petit Vour Beauty Box arrived, at some point in November, but I'm only getting around to reviewing it now ... apologies.  But, it was worth the wait!!!  Petit Vour, once again, knocked it outta the park.  I love how the products are 100% products that I would use on a daily basis and stuff I actually need.

In case you're not aware of who or what Petit Vour is, it's a monthly subscription service that delivers 4 cruelty-free, Vegan and clean beauty products to your door each month.  Some months, you may even get a 5th surprise inclusion.  As my beauty box is coming to Ireland, it costs me $34.98 each month, but the majority of that is shipping.  It's $15 a month but it works out cheaper if you buy 3. 6 or 12 month subscriptions.  Each item is usually sample size, but sometimes they're full size products.  Every month, there is a lovely new card, designed exclusively for Petit Vour.  This month's card is by A Thing Created

An extra little 'perk' with Petit Vour is, you can earn points for purchases and product reviews - 25 points for every product review & 20% back in points.  I've earned $1600 in points so I'll treat myself to a little something from the Petit Vour store πŸ˜‰πŸ‘

November's Box:  This month, we had two of my favourite ever brands - Juice Beauty & Lily Lolo πŸ’– There is a known issue shipping perfume samples/ nail polish from the US to Ireland (customs issue) so whenever there is a nail polish or a fragrance included in the box, the Petit Vour Babes give me a different sample.

In this box, I received 2 samples of Ursa Major face masks (Ursa Major '3-minute Flash Mask' - 50ml retails at $44 so I'm not sure how much these little guys are worth - they are good for 2 or 3 masks each, just btw).  Petit Vour is a 'green beauty' company which means there are no nasty ingredients (or very, very little) in the products they sell.

Juice Beauty have popped up in a few of my Vegan Beauty Subscription Boxes over the past few years and they have become a fast favourite of mine.  I love the scent that their products leave on my hair and skin.  Citrusy, without being completely overpowering.  I have thyroid issues so I'm super-sensitive to smells.  I can't have scents lingering on me all day if they're going to make me ill, but Juice Beauty never do.  I'm even complimented on my 'perfume' sometimes 😁 I absolutely adore this brand!!  In this months box, we got a Green Apple Brightening Gel Cleanser worth, I'm assuming, $14 (60ml) as the larger size (120ml) retails at $28.  It is a huge bottle which should last quite a while and it is perfect for travelling (ya'll know how much I love packing up my '100mls or less travel toiletries bag') πŸ˜‰

The Lily Lolo Makeup Mist we received was a full-sized product - 50ml retailing at $18.  I sprayed some onto my hand and it was beautiful.  Not greasy or sticky, it dried really quickly and it felt really refreshing.  You know how some makeup mists feel like they're trying to smother you???  Well, this one doesn't do that.  It's fabulous and, again, 50ml so it shall be coming with me to Liverpool next month πŸ˜‰

Last, but by no means least, Metta Skincare Coconut Lip Balm - another full size product.  Retailing at $14 for 25ml.  This is extremely nourishing without being super greasy.  There is a mild coconut scent from it but, again, it's not overpowering.  A tiny bit is sufficient to cover both lips and the packaging is fab.  I'm not quite sure if it's extremely tough plastic or glass, but it's definitely something I'll be reusing once the lip balm has all gone 😊

I'm majorly impressed with Petit Vour, again, this month for treating us to two full sized, useable, products that you can either leave at home or bring with you in your bag.  Very convenient sizes, very affordable (for when you want to restock when they run out), very cool πŸ‘

Let me know if you subscribe to Petit Vour and if so, what you thought of the November Beauty Box. Or the December ... or, by the time you read this, maybe even the January 2018 Beauty Box πŸ˜‰πŸ’–

February Travels

As well as being an animal lover, I love music and football but, living in Ireland, I don't get the opportunity to indulge my passions very often.  So, when I plan a trip to the UK, I try to cram as much in as possible ...

I'm going to Manchester and Liverpool in February, and I'm going to document every meal, shop and venue I visit with how the rate on the 'sfv scale' ☺

Last September, I was in Liverpool and I crammed quite a lot in and I'm cross with myself for not documenting how Vegan the trip was.  So this time, I will be doing so☺

If anybody has any recommendations for me, in either Manchester or Liverpool, for coffee shops, restaurants, pubs, bars, venues, etc please let me know.

Happy Sunday everybody ☺ xx

Happy New Year Everybody

Hi everybody

I hope you've all had an amazing year, your Christmas was 'Merry and Bright' and I wish you all health and happiness for 2018 😘

One of my New Years Resolutions for this year is to keep more up to date with this blog. I'm considering expanding to all things Vegan (not just beauty products) as I am officially fully Vegan since May 24th 2017 😀 *proud face*

I've always been a fussy eater so find it quite hard to find food I can eat anyway, so am on the lookout for tasty Vegan food around Galway and on my travels (UK cities more so than other countries as I'm a terrible flyer!!)

I'll try to post far more often, too. If you have any questions, recommendations or advice on Vegan products, meals or restaurants, please let me know.

Take Care & Speak Soon

New York, New York ... excitement Central

A very close friend and I have decided we are going to New York in September.  I am beside myself with excitement.  I'm so excited to be going Stateside for the first time in my life.  I'm thrilled to be seeing a performer we both adore.  I'm looking forward to seeing everything New York has to offer.

BUT, top of my list is, the VEGAN MAKEUP 🀣🀣🀣 I can't wait to be able to access all the brands that I can't get my hands on over here, without having to pay ridiculous shipping charges.

Can anybody give me a heads up, please?  I know of a few brands, but am always on the look out for cosmetics that are cruelty-free, vegan and, if possible, clean πŸ˜„

**updated May 2nd** we are actually going in December now..more time to lose weight, plan and save for the trip ♥ ♥ ♥

Petit Vour April Box

Another knockout Petit Vour Beauty Box, this time for April.  4 products arrived to my house Friday morning but I was away for the weekend so just saw them last night ... very happy with this box again 😊

I'm starting with my favourite from the box ... Nubian Heritage Body Lotion in Patchouli & Buriti (collection found here) .  Seriously!! I received a soap in this scent a few months back & it is gorgeous.  I keep it for 'special use' as I don't want to run out.  I know I can purchase more but it's just so special and 'summery' 😊  I really love it.  It is a really refreshing scent that reminds me of summer.  Well, we don't get much summer here in Ireland, so let me rephrase.  It makes me think of tropical places where they do get summer 😊 This was valued at $3

There's a little 7g (0.25oz) tube of Suntegrity 5-in-1 Natural Moisturizing Face Sunscreen.  Since I got badly burnt last summer, on one of the 2 hot days we got in Galway, I developed a horrible itch on my chest bone.  I've been on antihistamines since last July & I am on the lookout for Vegan Sun Products.  If anybody can recommend some, please let me know 😊 The only 'issue' with this is, it's tinted.  I'm not sure how dark it is yet as I've yet to try it, but I don't want a colour on me when I just want to prevent myself getting burnt.  There is a nice amount of product in this sample size & it's valued at $5

French Girl Organics Cuticle Oil 😊 Oh my goodness - it probably costs way more to produce these but how beautiful is this little tiny bottle???  I just love that it's made from glass (I'm trying to avoid plastic where, at all, possible) & it's so teeny, even when your carry-on toiletries bag is jammed full at the airport, this little cutie would slide right in there!!  It's a cuticle oil which, really, couldn't have come at a better time.  I've bitten my nails since I was a child & they are in a dire state at the minute, so I'm hoping this little baby will work miracles 😊 This has a value of $10

Last, but by no means least, is the MarieNatie Love Marie Lip Gloss.  I got the shade 'Tickled' which is a lovely corally/ pinky shade.  Just perfect for the coming season change 😊This has a value of $19.

Altogether, the value of this box was $37 and it cost $15 - that is very good value to be introduced to new products or brands that you know are vegan, cruelty-free and (mostly) extremely clean

Let me know if you subscribe to Petit Vour & if so, what do you think of it 😊 xx

Apologies

I've just realised that I haven't updated this blog in AGES - I had a wisdom tooth removed in February and it took about 3 weeks to heal.  Everything took a back seat until the pain had eased.

I've received a load of Vegan Beauty Boxes since my last post so I'll get onto that over the next few days :)

Hope you're all well & happy :) xx
